HOLA INTERACTORS.
So today at the meeting, we discussed a zillion new events for you guys so here’s a basic play-by-play, yadigg?
THIS WEEKEND:
On Saturday, October 3, 2009, we will be having the one and only, DAY IN THE PARK! At Lake Cunningham. It’s a multicultural festival intended to weave together the wonderful cultures of the Santa Clara Valley. AND, FREE FOOD. GET AT IT. There will be three shifts:
Set-Up: 7AM – 11AM
Event: 11AM – 3PM
Post-Event: 3PM – 7PM
Officers Tammy and Brian will be in charge for the first two shifts, and me, (My-Linh) and Johanna will be rocking the third! 30 Spots for each shift! Hit it up at schoolloop!
ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2009, IS OUR BELOVED ROCK AND ROLL HALF MARATHON, an event we have been taking on several years. We will be cheering on and handing out water to runners downtown! Handing out water may not sound fun, but every year this is one of THE best events. 80 Spots for this event, and as of right now… they are filled. But look out for openings, people love to make other plans sometimes.
5 AM – 10 AM, Jackson and Fifth Avenue, Downtown San Jose.

FUTURE EVENTS TO LOOK OUT FOR:
SUNDAY FRIENDS, OCTOBER 11, 2009.
Event Status: FULL.
Unfortunately there was only 7 spots on this event, and they were quickly taken. At this event, volunteers will perform educational activities while their parents scavenge about at the event.
FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, OCTOBER 18, 2009.
Event Status: Unlimited.
THIS EVENT IS THE PRIDE AND GLORY OF INTERACT. Here all the other Areas of Interact in the Bay Area join together and share their love for interact. Here our International Project will be revealed, in other words, the organization we will be raising money for this year, there will be an EPIC battle of the Areas, (we’re Area 8, TITANIUM TIGERS, by the way), and a series of cool workshops and games. There will be a $10 fee for attendees, but it pays for FOOD! It will take place at SAN JOSE CITY COLLEGE, from around 8AM – 3PM.
LIGHT THE NIGHT, OCTOBER 24, 2009.
Event Status: Unlimited.
Come walk for a cure! This is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual event in which people walk and pledge to raise funds to finding a cure to cancer. It is an extremely meaningful and fun event, filled with face-painting, balloon animals, exercise, and balloons that light up in the night!
